Basic Strategy For Blackjack – Play it Smart

In basic strategy for blackjack, the most important thing to know is where to stand. You may know this already but let’s discuss it anyway. A lot of people are either too aggressive or too passive. They will either sit on their hands waiting for somebody to call, or they will be aggressive and raise and call immediately. They will also be very passive, folding their hand and putting their money into some hole.

If you look at our basic strategy for blackjack, you will notice general rules to where to stand and hit. For instance, always stand and hit (double-check) on the third extra card from your wallet when your hand is no longer under 21. This rule is extremely important and can mean the difference between winning or losing. If you don’t remember this, then you could easily loose a lot of money by getting yourself in a bind. No matter what you do, never put more than one card from your pocket down into the pot (this also applies to the top card, if any, since it counts as a raise and not a single).

Another strategy is to only play with a single deck (including the middle and lowball decks). You should never have more than one card in your hand. Why? This is very important! The reason is that, if you have more than one card (including the two higher ones), you have to split your money between these cards, and chances are you’ll be on the losing end of the deal more often.

Now, for the final strategy in our basic strategy for blackjack, which is basically an opposite of the previous tip. If you can eliminate the dealer, you have a far greater chance of beating the house edge. What you want to do is double-up (get out) on the second best hand, or bet the full house on the first-best hand. Do not fold until your opponents have spent their turn, and when they do, make the most of it!

Of course, you’re already familiar with the basics of our basic strategy for blackjack: don’t play more than you can afford to lose, never put more than eight in a hand, never take more than two out of the deck. But there’s one thing that seems to be getting a lot of attention these days. That’s the question of whether or not online casinos should be allowed to offer the same betting limits as live casinos. In other words, should online casinos be banned from placing bets of lesser values than the house edge on hands? And the answer is…yes!

It’s true that there’s no legal way for online casinos to cheat, or for the house to pocket the difference between what the dealer pays out and what the player ends up with – but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have a secret weapon for beating the dealers at our own game. The strategy that you use for blackjack online is exactly the same as the strategy that you would use at a live blackjack table. The difference is that you’re using your computer, and your card counting system, to do all of the work. It might be a little more time-consuming and a bit more tedious than the old ways of betting and Card Counting, but it’s much more reliable, and actually more effective.
